Scholarships

"The Mariano Elia Bursaries were established by Dr. Marian Elia to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students at St. Michael's College and are minoring/majoring/specializing in Italian Studies. Students must be in their second, third or fourth year of studies at St. Michael's College , be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Students must be enrolled in a minor, major, or specialist program in Italian Studies and demonstrates excellence in the Italian Language or Italian Linguistics, and/or Italian Literary Studies. Students receiving Ontario Student Assistance Program funding; Canada Student Loan, or other government aid will be given priority.

To be awarded to students in the second year of the BScN program, who have shown outstanding academic achievement in the undergraduate program leading towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

Awarded, on the basis of academic merit and financial need, to two female undergraduate students in the Department of Physics undertaking a variety of courses and research in Physics and Chemistry.

Established by the estate Joseph A. Fischette, this scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to an undergraduate student enrolled in Full time studies (5.0 FCE) at St. Michael's College. Eligible students must be Ontario residents who demonstrate financial need. Eligible students must be in their second, third or fourth year Full time students at the University of St. Michael's College.Preference will be given to students who enroll in a major/specialist program in Italian, French, Philosophy, Music, Nutrition, or Political Science. If there is no suitable candidate, students who enroll in a minor program in any of the aforementioned subjects would be eligible. Preference will be given to students who achieve an academic grade point average of B+ (3.3 GPA) or higher.

To be awarded on the basis of financial need to part-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Transitional Year Program (TYP) or Academic Bridging Program (WDW). Preference will be given to students who have completed a majority of their credits on a part-time basis

To be awarded to Indigenous students studying full/part-time at the University of Toronto on the basis of financial need and Ontario residency as defined by the OTSS program conditions. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate a contribution to the Indigenous community through volunteerism and involvement with the Native Students Association.

To be awarded to (a) Full time, undergraduate student(s) at the Faculty of Law on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to a student who has demonstrated a commitment to the Women in Law Club or other similar women's initiatives at the Faculty of Law. Secondary preference will be given to a student who has demonstrated an interest in corporate law and related fields.

This award is disbursed as part of the University of Toronto Financial Aid (UTAPS program). To be awarded to (a) Full time, undergraduate student(s) enrolled in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to students with a minimum B average.

Awarded to students who have achieved an overall A standing in First Year.

Awarded to students who have achieved an overall A standing in Second Year.
