Scholarships provide crucial financial assistance to students based on various criteria such as merit, need, demographics, geographics, and specific fields of study. They differ from grants and bursaries in terms of eligibility, application process, and coverage. Scholarships are typically awarded based on academic or other achievements and do not require repayment, making them a valuable resource for students seeking financial support for their education.
