Scholarships

This award was established by the Hamilton Dental Research Study Club and various donors in honour of Dr. Michael Hagen who was devoted to achieving excellence. Dr. Hagen graduated from U of T in 1972 and died in 2007. This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student in Third Year for excellence in both theoretical and clinical restorative dentistry. The value of the award is the annual income on an endowment of $30,000. First awarded in 2008.

Awarded to the top Current students JD student paper applying economic analysis of law to a legal topic.

Awarded to a UTM student on the recommendation of the Faculty in Economics who has completed ECO100Y with high standing. Registration in Year III at UTM and enrolment in the Economics Specialist or Financial Economics Specialist program is a requirement of this award.

"Established by family and friends of Michael J. Walker, this is awarded to St. Michael's College Full time students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in Science and are entering their third or fourth year of study. Preference will be given to applicants who are specialist or major in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. Applicants must be Ontario residents who demonstrate financial need as stipulated in the OTSS funding guidelines. Preference will be given to students who perform a minimum of 25 hours of community service. Preference will be given to students with a grade point average of at least 3.00.

To be awarded to one or more student(s) meeting the academic requirements of admission, on the basis of financial need and academic excellence

To be awarded to a student in any year of the JD (formally the LLB) Program on the basis of financial need.

To be awarded to (a) Full time, undergraduate medical student(s) at the Faculty of Medicine on the basis of financial need.

Awarded to a student entering first year of Industrial Engineering on the basis of academic merit. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated excellence in extra-curricular activities.

This award is disbursed as part of the University of Toronto Financial Aid (UTAPS program). To be awarded to (a) Full time, undergraduate student(s) at the University of Toronto on the basis of financial need in the Faculty of Arts and Science. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the Commerce Program.

To be awarded to students enrolled in the Sexual Diversity Studies (SDS) Program. The primary criterion will be financial need in accordance with the requirements of the Ontario Trust for Student Support program (OTSS). Other criteria may also be considered such as academic achievement or outstanding volunteer contributions on or off campus aimed at increasing acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Awards will vary in number and value.
