Awarded to New College undergraduate students (any faculty) completing second, third or fourth year who are judged by the selection committee to be good role models and ambassadors for the college, who have significantly contributed to the extra-curricular life of the college or the broader university, while maintaining good academic standing. Awards will be made in recognition of the following areas of accomplishments: - Leadership - e.g. effective involvement in student government, clubs, student societies, volunteer activities, intramural sports. - Academic achievement - e.g. consistently high performance; a significant increase in Grade Point Average; ability to balance the demands of life outside the university (such as part-time work, volunteer activities, family responsibilities) with maintaining good academic standing.
