Scholarships

Awarded to a student (or students) entering first year of either the Mechanical or Industrial Engineering program on the basis of academic merit. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated leadership in the community and through extra-curricular activities.

Awarded to a student completing Fourth Year of Electrical or Computer Engineering who graduates with honours and who achieves the highest aggregate average in courses pertaining to electronic communication.

This award is disbursed as part of the University of Toronto Financial Aid (UTAPS program). Awarded to a student on the basis of demonstrated financial need, as is required by the Boundless Promise Program Undergraduate students at the Faculty of Arts & Science enrolled in the Physics program Preference will be given to students enrolled at Trinity College

Awarded to students entering or continuing in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining or Chemical Engineering who have demonstrated financial need. Academic merit will also be considered.

The Bourassa Cup is presented annually to the most outstanding member of the graduating D.D.S. class in Dentistry on the basis of academic proficiency and extra-curricular activities. It was provided by classmates of the late Joseph Gregory Bourassa, an outstanding member of the class of 1959, who lost his life a few months after graduation. The winner must obtain standing each year without supplementals or conditions and receive recommendation from the Dental Students’ Society on the basis of community service or participation in athletics and preferably both. The cup is kept permanently in the Dentistry building and the winner receives a commemorative plaque. First awarded in 1961.

Through a bequest from the late Jonathan Norman Wilkinson, D.D.S., an annual prize has been established comprising a book or subscription, to be awarded to the most outstanding student in Microbiology. Honours standing in the subject is required. First awarded in 1971.

Awarded to a fourth year outstanding graduating student in the Specialist or Major Program in Physics (A average) who enrolls in the graduate program in Physics at the University of Toronto.

Gift of the late J.S. McLean, each of the value of up to $3,000 cash, with a total possible value of up to $5,000 over 4 years, for excellence in any subjects or for general proficiency. The scholarships include tuition allowance of $500 per year which is renewable with an annual grade point average of at least 3.50 on a course load of 4 full credit equivalents (FCEs) from September to September. Eligible students are automatically considered.
