Scholarships

Awarded to an outstanding student in the fourth year of the Specialist program in Biochemistry. This award alternates between the departments of Biochemistry and Physiology and is available to Biochemistry students for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Awarded to an outstanding student in the Specialist program in Physiology upon completion of 4th year. This scholarship is awarded on alternate years, with Physiology awarding for the 2019-2020 academic year

Awarded to a UTM student who has completed Year III of the Bachelor of Commerce Program on the basis of financial need. Academic merit will also be considered. Registration in Year IV is a requirement. Student must be a resident of Mississauga.

Awarded to a student with high academic standing and an interest in ecology, on the recommendation of the Biology Executive Committee. If there are multiple candidates, preference will be given to the student with the highest grade in BIO205H (Ecology).

Through the generosity of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, an award is given in the amount of $350. Honours standing is required. First awarded in 1971/72.

Awarded to a UTM student admitted to the University of Toronto at Mississauga on the basis of financial need. Academic merit and an interest in Chemistry will also be considered.

To be awarded to students enrolled in the Faculty of Law on the basis of financial need.

To be awarded annually to a student in any year at the Faculty of Law on the basis of financial need. Special consideration to be given to a deserving student with an interest in health law, provided that if there is no such student enrolled at the Faculty of Law in a given year, the award may still be granted.

Awarded to students attending the University of Toronto Summer Program in Siena. While in Siena, applicants must be enrolled in at least one full course equivalent in Italian.

An indivudual plaque to be awarded, on the recommendation of the staff in Chemistry, to the UTM student who has achieved the highest standing in the fourth and final year of a specialist program, involving chemistry alone, or in combination with, allied subjects such as physics, mathematics, geology, biochemistry, etc. In addition to completing such a program within four years, the recipient of the award must have attained a minimum average of 75%. As well, a large wall plaque is displayed in the Chemistry Department at the University of Toronto Mississauga bearing the names of the winners.
