Scholarships

Bursaries to be awarded to students on the basis of financial need. To be considered , students must complete a UofT Grant application on ACORN.

Awarded to outstanding students enrolled in a program offered by the School of the Environment. Preference will be given to students who are focusing their environmental studies on climate (extracurricular involvement with climate issues will also be considered); however, this preference does not preclude other environmental students from being eligible. Recipients must register in the Innis Environmental Studies Program in subsequent academic session. Please contact the Department for an application.

Awarded to a student entering the first year of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering on the basis of financial need and academic merit.

Awards will be made on the basis of financial need demonstrated through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) or on the basis of information provided by an individual on the award application. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) students from all U of T campuses, faculties, colleges and programs will be eligible, with no preference given to those enrolled in the Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies programs or courses.

$10,000 is awarded on admission to an outstanding student enrolled in a science program within the Faculty of Arts and Science on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to students from the Peel Region and/or a student registered in Victoria College.

The North Bay and District Pharmacists’ Association have established a bursary in memory of Ron Harris, a local pharmacist. This bursary will be awarded to a deserving and needy student enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, preferably from Northern Ontario. Information on application procedures will be provided to Doctor of Pharmacy students via e-mail in late September.

To be awarded to a student entering the first year of the medical programme who has achieved high academic standing in their premedical studies and who has demonstrated the qualities of human understanding and compassion. Preference will be given to students with financial need. Applications will be available in the fall.

To be awarded to a student in any year of the LL.B. program who best exemplifies the qualities and characteristics which Ronald Yu had achieved and demonstrated in his lifetime. The award will be given on the basis of: i) scholarship; ii) financial need; iii) interest and involvement in community activities.

To provide support to female, single-parent students enrolled in any degree granting full or part-time program at Woodsworth College.

Awarded to students enrolled in a program offered by the Department of East Asian Studies, for language study in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean based on performance in third or fourth year. Must have a minimum B+ average.
