Scholarships

Awarded to an outstanding student in the Specialist Program in Mathematics and Physics who earned an 'A' average in second or third year. The recipient will also win the William R. Hossack Memorial Scholarship in Mathematics and Physics.

Gift of the late Rt. Hon. Sir William Mulock, P.C., for many years Vice-Chancellor, and later Chancellor of the University. For a student in Classics. Eligible students are automatically considered.

Awarded to an outstanding student in the Specialist program in Mathematics and Physics upon completion of second or third year. The recipient also wins the William Mulock Prize in Mathematics and Physics.

To be awarded to a student or students in any year of the Faculty of Law on the basis of scholarship and financial need.

Awarded to one or more students enrolled in a Specialist or Major program in Spanish. Preference will be given to students from the Dufferin County area in Ontario.

In memory of Mr. William Stanley Meeker, who practised community pharmacy during his lifetime, a capital donation was made by Mrs. Edith Meeker, Professor Josephine P. Meeker, and others. The annual income, for the purchase of text books, is awarded to the student enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program who attains the highest mark in First Class Honours in the subject Pharmaceutics (PHM141H1), and who obtains at least Second Class Honours standing in First Year.

Awarded to an outstanding student enrolled in a combined Specialist or a double Major in Modern Languages and Literatures. Specialists and Majors in French are excluded.

To be given annually to the top academic student entering the third or fourth year of the Specialist program in Economics, leading to a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Awarded to outstanding students in the Theatre and Drama Studies programs on the recommendation of the Theatre and Drama Studies faculty at UTM.

Mr. and Mrs. George Kanas established this scholarship in loving memory of their son, Theodore James Kanas, who graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1973. The scholarship is to be awarded to the student in the Doctor of Pharmacy program who achieves the highest standing in the annual examinations of Third Year and who has received no other award. The recipient must continue his/her studies in Fourth Year.
