The University Lodge 496 Masonic Scholarship (in Memory of W.D. Leers, M.D, Ph.D)

To be awarded to a New College student for outstanding achievement in the life/medical sciences. Candidates must have an overall 'A' standing (i.e. GPA of 3.5 on the 5.0 most recent courses) and have completed the second or third year of a life/medical science program, and be intending to register in the following Fall/Winter Session at the University of Toronto (any faculty). The winner of this award should be of good character. Students are automatically considered for this award in September, based on academic results from the previous fall/winter session.
