Scholarships

Awarded to a student in the Specialist Program in Art History upon completion of third year. Financial need must be considered, academic merit will also be considered.

Awarded to the UTM student in the Art and Art History Program (Major or Specialist) who, at the end of Year III has obtained the highest standing in all Studio (FAS) courses. Further registration is not required.

Awarded to one or more students, who is in good academic standing and have an interest in pursuing a career in Pharmaceuticals. Students must be in financial need. Preference will be given to students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree program. Preference given to student(s) enrolled in the following bachelor of science programs: Biochemistry, Biological Chemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Integrative Biology, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Immunology and Disease, Neuroscience, Paramedicine (Joint Centennial), Physical Sciences, Plant Biology.

Awarded either to a graduate student taking a course in Ukrainian Language in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures OR to two undergraduate students who completed his/her first, second or third year with at least B standing in Ukrainian courses.

Awarded to an outstanding third year student, with an A average, in a Specialist program in Philosophy upon registration in the same program for 4th year.

Awarded to a student enrolled in a program offered by the Department of East Asian Studies who has completed EAS320Y or EAS460H and EAS461H with an A average.

Awarded to a student enrolled in a Specialist or Major program offered by the Department of Geography who is making good progress to the completion of the degree requirements. Financial need must be considered, academic merit may be considered. Apply to the Chair, Geography and Planning by October 1. If funding available, additional applications will be accepted by February 1.

To be awarded to a New College student for outstanding achievement in the life/medical sciences. Candidates must have an overall 'A' standing (i.e. GPA of 3.5 on the 5.0 most recent courses) and have completed the second or third year of a life/medical science program, and be intending to register in the following Fall/Winter Session at the University of Toronto (any faculty). The winner of this award should be of good character. Students are automatically considered for this award in September, based on academic results from the previous fall/winter session.

To be awarded to students entering the first year of undergraduate study in any faculty from a Canadian secondary school. The recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The National Scholars will be outstanding students who demonstrate superior academic performance, original and creative thought, and exceptional achievement in a broad context, who not only excel in academic pursuits but also have an enthusiasm for learning and an involvement in the life of their school or community. Renewable provided a sessional standing of ?A? is maintained over a full courseload.
